Production
Gros Manseng grapes of cépage are gathered by hand. Only the healthiest and most ripe are then used in the production of this wine.
Vinification
After harvesting the grapes are gently pressed, the must 'débourbage' (filtered to remove any deposits), and the wine fermented under controlled temperatures. It is then left to age for 3 to 6 months on the lees. Like with champagne, the wine products from different 'terroirs' (term used to denote the combination of soil, climate and exposure to the sun - that is the natural physical environment of the vine) are assembled to obtain a very balanced wine, with a constant and high quality vintage.
Tasting
LOOK: Intense golden straw
NOSE: Frank and pleasant, with freshness, finesse, and aromas of fresh fruit, fern and gênet (broom - yellow-flowered shrub).
TASTE: Very structured. The initial taste is pure, smooth and creamy, thereafter developing aromas and roundness. The aftertaste is lengthy. It is a full wine with much balance and vigour.
