Production

Situated on the second terrace of the 'Gave de Pau' (river), the area possesses a muddy-clay 'terroir' (denotes the combination of soil, climate and exposure to the sun - that is the natural physical environment of the vine) with large stones that allow the cépages of Tannat, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, co-planted on 11 hectares, to express their power and finesse.

Vinification

After harvesting, the grapes were macerated for 15 days, follwed by 'remontages' (a process for naturally creating the colour of the wine). The wine was then aged in the stainless steel vats for 10 months before being bottled.

Tasting

LOOK: Dark red, with deep reflections of violet.
NOSE: With beautiful finesse, and full of frankness, it develops tones of blackcurrant, morello cherry, fresh mint and tobacco.
TASTE: Fine texture and balance between its substance, tannin and acidity which permit the wine to be kept for some years. The aftertaste is nicely scented with tones of ripe red fruits.

Conservation

This wine will age well for 3 to 5 years
