Visit la Cave

Béarn's most popular tourist destination
The Aquitain's most visited business

Come visit us !

The biggest tourist attraction in Bearn and the 6th most visited business in France, the Cave de Gan - Jurançon winery offers visits free of charge all year round, Mondays to Saturdays from 9am to 11am and from 2pm to 5pm.

It is our pleasure to welcome you, and to share with you our methods and traditions, and the tastes of the region.

During your visit, your guide will retrace a grape's journey from the receiving dock where it arrives just after harvest, all the way through to the bottling of the wine.

Following this journey, you will discover the pressing room, the fermentation tanks, and the superb semi-underground aging cellar containing a 4th century Gallo-Roman mosaics which was discovered amoung the ruins of the Pont d'Oly Roman villa, located in the municipality of Jurancon. The tour ends with a tasting of our Jurancon and Béarn wines, accompanied by fine artisanal food products produced regionally..

On Open-Days (two in summer and one at Christmas), you can also have access to our latest generation bottling plant that fills 20,000 bottles per day on average!

One of the most visited businesses in France

The Cave de Gan - Jurançon winery has been named one of the most visited companies in France. Indeed, with nearly 250,000 visitors a year, the winery is the 6th most visited French company, and now the most visited in Aquitaine according to ADEVE (agency for the development of company visits). This is the result of a longstanding commitment to improving access to all its facilities for everyone, and has been achieved under the auspices of the Tourism & Handicap label.

We are proud of our expertise and machinery, and want as many people as possible to discover how and where we work. Our methods are on display and are based in tradition (vineyard work and vinification) and include cutting-edge technology (our bottling plant). Our location at the foot of the Pyrenees is ideal for its close vicinity to the Château de Pau and the Ossau Valley, and our closeness to Biarritz and Lourdes allows us to take advantage of the flow of visitors to the region. All of this, as well as our reputation for hospitality, has allowed us to become the Aquitaine's most visited business.

Come and share in the easy-going conviviality of our region. We hope to see you soon!
