Strict production rules.........

The mention 'Vendanges Tardives' (late harvest) is regulated by the text of the 4th November 1994, edited by the 'Comité National de I'INAO'. This requires that the harvest be cultivated on 'parcelles' (small pieces of land) chosen for the potential of its 'terroir' (soil, climate, exposure), and controlled by a commission. The minimum content of sugar at the harvest must not be less than 272g/l. The harvesting of the 'parcelles' can not be carried out before a certain date given by the I'INAO.
The resulting wine is then subject to double gustative control and analysis by an expert jury over one and a half years before it can be given the sacred title of "Vendanges Tardives", securing its grand quality and inimitability.

.....for an exceptional wine

The last grape harvest of the year, the "Vendanges Tardives", is for our winegrowers always a unique and moving moment.
The gathering of the fruit, that has been so pampered over the preceding months is carried out delicately and manually.
The winegrower picks the most beautiful of the grapes, those that have been filled with sun, wrinkled by the frost and that possess a brilliant brass/copper colour, like the grape of 'Corinthe'. The precious harvest is then pressed gently to extract a very dense juice that is full of aromas and character.
The vinification is then carried out according to the same rules; gently, naturally and respectful of the quality of the grapes.

Tasting

ROBE: : Straw yellow, with golden shades.
NOSE:: Very amazing, with explosive aromas of bananas, sugared exotic fruits and dominant hints of truffles.
MOUTH: The initial taste is explosive with aromas of candied exotic fruits. It is balanced and lively with an exceptionally long aftertaste.

Conservation

This grand wine can be drunk young, but its superior class means that it will age very well over the next 20 years.
